Sri Lanka Government Scholarships 2014/15

Applications are invited from eligible students for the award of undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships offered by the Ministry of Higher Education, Sri Lanka under the Government of Sri Lanka Presidential Scholarships for Foreign Students for the academic year 2014/15 and the courses are to commence in December 2014. Since this is a government to government scholarship program, candidates should apply for this scholarship with the recommendation of the government scholarship nominating agency (Ministry / Institution) of the respective country.

The Emile-Boutmy Scholarship

Sciences Po created the Emile Boutmy scholarship after the founder of Sciences Po (1871) in order to welcome the very best international students from outside of the European Union. The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to top students whose profiles match the admissions priorities of Sciences Po and individual course requirements. 

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible students are those, first time applicants, from a non-European Union state, whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate or Master's programme.

Oxford Undergraduate Scholarships for Low Income Countries

A number of Reach Oxford scholarships are offered to students from low income countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries.

Scholarships are available for new students applying for an undergraduate degree in all subjects except for medicine. Not all colleges are able to offer Reach Oxford Scholarships every year. If you are accepted by a college that is not participating in the scheme, this will not prevent you from applying for and being awarded a scholarship. If your application is successful, arrangements will be made to transfer you between colleges.

Erasmus Mundus Partnership Scholarships

EMP-AIM is a Partnership of 17 Universities from European countries, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova, which aims to build a structured and sustainable cooperation between the involved universities and thus to strengthen academic, cultural, economic collaboration between the European and Eastern Europe region countries. The project EMP-AIM is coordinated by Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania). The Erasmus Mundus programme's overall aim is to promote European higher education, to help improve and enhance the career prospects of students and to promote intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries, in accordance with EU external policy objectives in order to contribute to the sustainable development of third countries in the field of higher education.

Geneva International Student's Program 2012

The Geneva International Student's Program 2012 offered by the University of Geneva will take place from February 20, 2012 to May 25, 2012. Application deadline is extended until November 15, 2011.

Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships 2011-2012

The Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to approximately 1,000 undergraduates, graduates, and PhD students of all subjects and nationalities per year, who are pursuing their degree at universities, universities of applied sciences (‘Fachhochschulen’), or universities of the arts (‘Kunsthochschulen”). We expect our scholarship recipients to have excellent academic records, to be socially and politically engaged, and to have an active interest in the basic values of the foundation: ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self determination and justice

Coca-Cola Scholarships at the University of Edinburgh

The University of Edinburgh and Coca-Cola offer a number of scholarships for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University. This competitive scholarship covers the full tuition fees and an annual maintenance allowance of £5,000. It is tenable for the duration of the programme of study.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to self-financing applicants whose personal circumstances would make accepting an offer from the University of Edinburgh difficult. They are awarded to citizens from the following countries who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate programme of study:

Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Scholarships

Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Scholarships are offered to students who are nationals of countries outwith the EU for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University. 20 scholarships are available for the 2011-2012 session with each award worth £2,000 per year. Awards are tenable for the duration of the programme of study.

Eligibility

The scholarships are competitive and awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. They are awarded to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for undergraduate study at the University of Edinburgh. Students already on a programme are not eligible. Applicants must also be nationals of a country outwith the EU.

Mondi International Scholarships for Studies in Austria

The One-World-Scholarships for Developing Countries

The One-World-Scholarship-Programme is directed at students from developing countries at Austrian Universities and is meant to contribute to the peaceful coexistence of people from different countries of origin by enhancing equal opportunities, dialogue, intercultural know-how and partnership. It has been established within the Austrian Cooperation for Education, and together with the other programmes it supports their concerns (struggle against poverty, resource conservation, peace-keeping etc.), the establishment and expansion of accordingly qualified personnel and the advancement of educational- and economic systems (capacity and institution development) with lasting effects.

It is complementary to other scholarship programmes and laid out globally, it enhances the ability for independent, creative, critical and self-determined thinking and acting and shall strengthen the competence for innovative problem solving strategies. The OWS contributes to the socially required production of knowledge and awareness, it promotes a global perspective and the creation of the globally educated citizen. It attaches a high significance to regional, international and trans-cultural networks. The programme is co-financed (government, church and private funds and own resources of the recipients of the benefits) and significantly contributes to the economic, social and cultural development of the southern countries. 

Humane Studies Fellowships at IHS, USA

Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University, USA, awards Humane Studies Fellowships of up to $15,000 for graduate or undergraduate study to graduate students and outstanding undergraduates planning academic careers with liberty-advancing research interests. The fellowships are open to students in a range of fields, such as economics, philosophy, law, political science, anthropology, and literature.

The program began in 1983 as the Claude R. Lambe Fellowships, and in 2010 we awarded more than 180 fellowships ranging from $2,000 to $15,000.

Past fellows have researched a variety of topics that explore historical and contemporary ideas that maximize freedom of action and support the rule of law:

• market-based approaches to environmental policy
• the legal development of privacy and property rights in 18th-century England
• the role of patient autonomy in bioethics
• impediments to economic growth in developing countries

One Year Courses taught in English run for one whole academic year as an experience across different fields of design and communication. They are designed for individuals who seek to gain their first professional skills in the areas of fashion, interior & product design, visual arts, advertising and marketing. All key subjects required for professional development of project design and culture are covered from both the theoretical and practical perspectives. One of the subjects is Spanish language, so you get to learn your chosen discipline and Spanish throughout the year. University of Southampton Scholarships for UK/EU and International Students

University of Amsterdam Scholarships

Heinrich Boell Scholarships

The Heinrich Böll Foundation awards scholarships to German and foreign students in keeping with the guidelines provided by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
