Paper submission and registrations are now opened for the 18th Annual Conference of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. EAERE 2011 will be held on the campus of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, on June 29th to July 2nd, 2011. It is organized jointly by the Department of Economics, Finance and Quantitative Methods (SEFEMEQ) and the Faculty of Economics.
The conference programme will cover all areas of environmental and resource economics, ranging from topics prevailing in the general debate, such as climate change, Kyoto protocol, energy policy, ETS, green accounting, valuation methods to less publicized and very specialized subjects such as biodiversity loss, waste accumulation, toxic waste disposal, packaging reduction, adaptation to climate change, urban and transportation sustainability. We expect around 700 participants from all over the world, engaged in environment related activities in various capacities - researchers, teachers, students, professionals, policymakers, managers.
The Conference will be organized, as usual, through plenary sessions, parallel contributed and poster sessions and special sessions.
You are invited to submit theoretical and applied papers in all areas of environmental and natural resource economics for presentation at the EAERE'sconference. All papers will undergo the regular peer review process regardless of the session in which they will be presented. Papers can only be submitted electronically through the conference website at www.eaere2011.org from November 15, 2010, onwards. Deadline for submission of papers is February 01, 2011. Notification of acceptance will be sent by April 18, 2011.
Student Grants
A limited number of Conference grants will be available. More information concerning the selection process and access requirements will be made available in due time. Applying scholars whose paper is accepted will however have a preferential treatment in the selection process. Available scholarships will differ according to the degree of expenses they will cover:
- some scholarships will cover both Conference fees and accomodation and travel expenses
- other scholarships will only cover either Conference fees or travel and accomodation costs, but not both.
Limits on allowed travel and accomodation expenses will apply
Participation fees range from 292 to 583 Euros, depending on the registration date, category of the participant, and paper submission. Early registrations are due before 30 April 2011. The registration fee includes: participation in the conference social programme (welcome reception, gala dinner and social event), lunches and coffee breaks during the conference, admission to all scientific sessions, all conference materials. Accomodation should be paid separately.
