New Media Ambassador for GEYC Resource Center

In order to promote, develop and enrich GEYC Resource Center in Bucharest, Romania launch a call for candidates for the position of “New Media Ambassador“, a three-month practical training in the field of social media, multimedia, PR and communication skills.

Ocean Science Journalism Fellowship

WHOI Ocean Science Journalism Fellowships were established in 2000, and the next programme will be held from September 7-12, 2014. The OSJ programme is designed to introduce science journalists to the interdisciplinary and wide-ranging fields of oceanography and ocean engineering.

animago AWARD 2014

The animago AWARD has been acknowledging the best works in the entire spectrum of digital media production and visualization since 1997. Participants from exactly 66 different countries have submitted 1.043 works last year, production types are STILL, FILM and INTERACTIVE. Since its existence the competition has succeeded in achieving even greater international prominence and acknowledgment.

Apply as a journalist at the Slovenian Model United Nations (SiMUN)

Applications for chairs and delegates will be open in the following months. Places are also reserved for three journalist-delegates, an editor and a photographer who will be covering the discussions at SiMUN.

Journalists who have developed business endeavours that address social needs are encouraged to apply for this fellowship in Chicago. In partnership with
Chicago Ideas Week, the Bluhm/Helfand Social Innovation Fellowship will grant visionary leaders with community support, exposure to successful business leaders and a US$10,000 financial contribution for their business endeavour.

National Geographic Traveler launches photo contest

Free course on data journalism

The
Data Driven Journalism initiative, run by the European Journalism Centre (EJC), is offering a five-module course to teach journalists how to use data to enhance their storytelling.

Anna Lindh Foundation calls for entries for the 8th edition of the Mediterranean Journalist Award 
 Deadline: 31 May 2014
Following its annual tradition since its inauguration, the Anna Lindh Foundation launches the 8th edition of the Mediterranean Journalist Award, open to journalists of Written Press, Television, Radio and New Media, who are citizens of the 42 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean, in addition to Syrian and Libya.
