EFRI Summer School 2015

It is our pleasure to announce the 11th Jean Monnet International Summer School "International Environment and the European Integration" which will be held at the Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka, Croatia, from June 29, to July 11, 2015.

The goal of the EFRI Summer School is to broaden the knowledge of students of economics, law, political sciences, administration and other related studies on the economic integration process in Europe, and to point out the advantages and challenges of economic integration in everyday life. At the same time, as a joint project with the International Initiative for Policy Making and Politics at the Local Level, this is the 5th POL-LOC Summer School. The programme will give a special focus to issues related to local governance and the repercussions of the Integration process on the local level.

As a joint project with the International Initiative for Policy Making and Politics at the Local Level, this is the 5th POL-LOC Summer School. The programme will give a special focus to issues related to local governance and the repercussions of the Integration process on the local level.

This joint programme will consist of lectures, workshops and student assignments to be completed in groups with the support of academic supervisors. Due to its specific approach, the School will be appealing both to students with basic knowledge of EU matters and those who want to know more.

The EFRI Summer School programme is developed in cooperation with the local community, successful Croatian companies, domestic and foreign institutions. Classes will be held by lecturers from Croatian and European Universities, as well as other institutions. Classes are completely in English and will be mostly held at the Faculty of Economics Rijeka. Participants will learn about Europe and will be awarded 6 ECTS credits.

The number of applications is limited: in case of a larger turnout of applicants, candidates will be shortlisted. Applicants, including the students from the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka are entitled to partial scholarships!

Accommodation and a wide array of social events will be arranged for the students: visits to Croatian companies and institutions, get-together-parties, day-trips and excursions. All these events have been designed for university students and with a student budget in mind.

All the information and the application forms are available on the website: http://www.efri.hr/en/summer-school
